Happy Anniversary, Lifeboost - Here’s To 10 Years Of Products, Partnerships, People, And More!

Pull out the candles, cake (and coffee), balloons, and treats…it’s time to celebrate Lifeboost’s 10th anniversary!! 

Anniversaries and birthdays are familiar times of fun and celebration, times when we reflect on the past year, sometimes on many prior years, looking at all the blessings, trials, milestones, and accomplishments we’ve enjoyed and encountered. 

For children, birthdays commonly center around the things a child enjoys most, while parents typically focus on love and gratitude for the child’s accomplishments and growth. 

As adults, we seem to get a little more somber with our celebrations, routinely using such occasions for introspection, examining perhaps the goals and milestones we’ve achieved throughout the year. 

For couples, anniversaries typically bring cause for similar reflection, these occasions commonly filled with a heart of gratitude for growth and time with our spouse or partner. 

Hmmm, but how do you celebrate such an occasion as a coffee company? 

Perhaps the best way to celebrate 10 years of Lifeboost is by combining all the things we typically focus on for children, adults, and couples alike, reflecting on our growth and accomplishments, doing a bit of introspection surrounding our milestones and achievements, even gladly taking some time to share with you our gratefulness for the journey.

Of course, I think it’s only fitting that we channel our inner child here as well, celebrating this milestone centered around those things we love, enjoy, and appreciate most - coffee and you, our amazing customers! 

So, prepare a cup of your favorite Lifeboost brew, then sit back and slowly sip as we celebrate this joyous occasion by taking a moment to flip through the Lifeboost photo album, if you will, reflecting back on our greatest moments, milestones, and more!

Lifeboost Through The Years

Lifeboost Coffee began as a vision, a passionate vision. 

Prior to Lifeboost’s founding in May of 2015, Dr. Charles Livingston, our CEO, spent his time as a chiropractor while also running a successful supplement company. 

During this time, with a focus on whole body health and wellness, he commonly found himself instructing his patients on the importance of the “garbage in, garbage out,” principle. 

In other words, what we put into our bodies matters!

Of course, Dr. Charles lived by this rule in his own life as well, but one area he found to be lacking was his morning cup of joe…until he discovered a brew that INC 5000 cleverly describes as one which led him to follow his gut! 

After three years’ time in the entrepreneurial world of supplements, Dr. Charles had the opportunity to sample a unique coffee, one grown at high elevations in the rainforest mountains of Nicaragua. 

With only one sip, he noticed a difference in this brew - it was smooth, it was delicious, it was clean, and it didn’t upset his stomach! 

So many conventional coffees cause stomach distress due to such brews being acidic. And, to make matters worse, these coffees routinely contain molds, heavy metals, and other toxins. 

But, not this brew! 

As Dr. Charles recognized the stark difference in these beans, he immediately investigated, discovering what we all now know to be pure magic! 

So, I suppose you could say, with that first sip, Lifeboost was born. 

Then, in May of 2015, Lifeboost Coffee sold its first classic or main roast. 

But, would the rest of the population find Lifeboost Coffee to be as delicious, clean, and healthy as Dr. Charles? 

Spoiler alert - YES! 

In 2020, within three years of Lifeboost Coffee’s first sale, our company was ranked no. 271 on Inc. 5000’s annual list recognizing the 5,000 fastest growing private companies in America. 

By the next year (2021), Lifeboost moved up that ladder to no. 80. 

And, by 2022 Lifeboost jumped to no. 1 in the Regionals Midwest and no. 29 nationally on Inc. 5000’s annual list! 

During this same time, in 2022, Lifeboost was also featured in the Indiana Business Journal, recognized as the fastest growing company in the Indianapolis area with an 866% revenue growth over two years. 

What an accomplishment! 

What an honor!

What a challenge! 

As most of you know, achievements often present us with an opportunity for greater growth, challenging us to move past our comfort zones, pushing us towards greater things.

Wait, what? 

That’s right! Sure, we’ve added products, gained partnerships, and we’ve had the opportunity to participate in our community in many ways, but throughout the last ten years, Lifeboost Coffee has remained true to Dr. Charles’ initial passion and vision.

To consistently bring you healthy, clean, single origin, organic, sustainably grown, elevation grown, small family farmed, specialty Arabica coffee, Lifeboost has ensured, from the beginning, that our coffee is always meticulously grown, harvested, thoroughly dried and processed, and 3rd party tested for more than 400+ heavy metals, toxins, molds, etc.

Through supply chain issues, scaling operations, adding products, and more, compromising on quality has never, and will never, be an option at Lifeboost.

And, our commitment to this type of quality and standard of practice has allowed us to expand in the following ways.

Thankfully, our growth as a company over the last ten years hasn’t merely been about our product line.

There are 4 Core Pillars that define Lifeboost as a company - Clean, Cause, Connection, and Kindness. 

These pillars drive us and continually keep us focused on what we believe are the most important things in life and in business.

Clean? This pillar easily describes our coffee, and it stems from our desire to fuel our bodies with clean foods and beverages. 

Then, our other 3 pillars - Cause, Connection, and Kindness? We find that these also drive us throughout every aspect of our company. 

At Lifeboost we believe in supporting causes we believe in, and this, along with our desire to connect with others while being a light of kindness in this world, has opened the door for many amazing partnerships. 

In our efforts to promote environmental conservation, we’ve been privileged to partner with organizations such EcoCart, helping to offset our carbon footprint in shipping, and The Rainforest Trust, whose efforts have successfully protected more than 54 million acres of rainforest and 3,851 critically endangered, endangered, and vulnerable species. 

We’ve also been blessed to adopt Cinta, a Sumatran tigress, and Coffee Bean, an endangered giraffe in Uganda, furthering educational efforts surrounding the need to protect these animals and the habitats they desperately rely on. 

Then, fueled by a desire to support our farmers and their communities, we’ve also partnered with Project Alianza, an organization which builds schools in coffee-growing regions, providing children with a clean, safe environment and a quality education. 

In 2022, we were excited to visit these communities and schools, seeing firsthand how such partnerships have enriched our farming families while also providing the wonderful blessing of connection. 

We’ve even had the privilege to connect and spread kindness to many locally as well, through our efforts to support worthy causes right here at home. 

As we greatly value those who tirelessly serve our community, we’ve been blessed to get to know many of the first responders in our area on a regular basis through coffee donations. 

And, with each delivery, we’ve been able to share smiles and coffee stories with our local firefighters, police officers, and other service personnel.

Throughout these last ten years we’ve also had the opportunity to spread a little kindness in our neighborhood when sharing candy (for the kiddos) and coffee (for the adults) at community events. 

Then, another very special group we’ve enjoyed connecting with over the last ten years involves YOU!

Over the last ten years, Lifeboost has sold well over a million bags of coffee. 

And, each bag sold, each coffee selection or line added, each additional product tested and launched…all of this and more, at the end of the day, is for you…is because of you! 

That’s why we began our VIP Rewards Program in 2022 as a way to show appreciation to you, our faithful customers. 

That’s why, in 2024, our biggest goal was to be customer-focused, improving your Lifeboost website and app experiences in ordering as well as shipping and delivery (as much as is within our control). 

And, this is why, each and every day, we take great pride and pleasure in serving you!

Each new feature added, each promotion, each new product added…we do this in response to your feedback, your concerns, your desires, and simply because we greatly value and appreciate you.
