When can I expect my order?
Each and every order is freshly roasted. It takes between 3-5 business days to process the order! Once the order is ready for shipping, we send it thru USPS Priority mail. Shipping takes between 5-7 business days. We will keep you updated via email with tracking. Alternatively, you can log in to your customer profile and it will have an update there!
How is your decaf processed?
We use the swiss water method. The Swiss Water Process (SWP) is a non-solvent method for decaffeinating unroasted coffee beans.
The best way to store your coffee is?
An airtight container that is NOT clear. Place it in a cool, dry place like your pantry. You want your coffee beans or grounds to be away from light, heat, and moisture. Ground coffee and beans can last 6 months in the pantry.

How is my order prepared?
Each batch of coffee is roasted on order! Your coffee is so fresh that we actually recommend waiting about 7 days off roast to brew it so the coffee can properly degas. With that, the time it takes for the coffee to degas to reach optimal flavor coincides perfectly with the time it takes for the coffee to ship, so you're receiving the freshest coffee possible! Should the coffee have a vacuum seal?
You'll notice that our coffee isn't vacuum sealed. And the reason why is because you don't need it as we roast your coffee on order. A vacuum seal is only needed when buying coffee off the grocery store shelf where the coffee has been sitting for weeks if not months! Our bags that contain a one-way valve allowing the coffee to de-gas while minimizing oxidative degradation!
As the coffee you order from us is roasted to order, you're getting the freshest coffee possible! And not coffee that has been roasted 30+ days ago!
What elevation is your coffee grown at?
When coffee is grown at higher altitudes (at least 5,700ft above sea level), it has a number of beneficial effects on the beans. When you grow coffee at a higher altitude it slows the development and ripening of the beans. This is because the temperature of the environment is cooler which causes the beans to develop more slowly. The slow growth of the beans allows them to absorb more nutrients and become much more dense and harder than grow coffee at lower elevations. This means that there are more antioxidants in the beans and that you will get more out of the coffee you are drinking. Not only is the coffee much more nutrient dense, it is also superior in taste. Most expensive high quality coffees are grown at higher elevations to maximize their flavor.
What does Shade Grown mean?
By growing coffee plants under a sun filtering canopy improves the quality of the coffee bean for a number of reasons. The trees provide shelter for the coffee plants from the sun. This allows the beans to mature slower. This allows them to become more nutrient rich, denser, and harder than coffee beans that are not shade grown. This means that the final coffee product will be much more nutrient rich and have a much better flavor.
The trees that shade the coffee offer other benefits than just protection from the sun. The leaves that fall from the branches of the trees provide a naturally occurring source of nutrients for the coffee plants. When the leaves decompose they become part of the soil which the coffee plants use to grow. This helps to improve the nutrient density of the coffee plants. The fallen leaves also provide protection for the coffee plants from weed growth that act as a “mulch” making it hard for new seeds from other plants to grow. This means that there is more nutrients in the soil that are readily available for the coffee plants to use which will improve the nutrient richness of the coffee beans when they are fully developed.

Where is your coffee produced?
Our coffee is grown in Nicaragua.
Is your coffee single origin?
Yes, all of our coffee comes from the same farm. Coffee being from a “single origin” means that all of the beans come from one area of one farm. This helps to ensure you that every bean that goes into your coffee is of the same high quality as all of the others. This also means that all of the beans are processed in the exact same way and roasted the same way. This keeps the other beans from mixing with others, which can affect the flavor of your coffee and introduce foreign things like mycotoxins that may be present in other coffee beans that could be blended in.
Is HPAdapt gluten-free?
Yes, HPAdapt is gluten free.
Can you freeze your coffee beans and grounds to make them last longer?
Yes. BUT make sure that they are in a vacuum sealed bag. This can make the coffee last indefinitely if it’s truly in an air tight container.
If you are only storing for a short amount of time, there is no need to freeze the coffee. Let coffee thaw for an hour after you pull it out of the freezer.
Can you refrigerate your coffee beans or grounds?
No. Coffee grounds will act like baking soda and absorb odors from your fridge which will change the taste profile.

Once your order is done being freshly roasted, we ship free standard shipping for US orders over $50.

If you would like to cancel an order after it has been shipped, we will attempt to intercept the package through the delivery service, although this is not guaranteed. Intercept services do have fees associated with them, so we will deduct the cost to intercept from your refund. If interception is not possible, you can send the package back by either refusing the package at delivery or shipping it back to us.
If you refuse the package and send it back to us, we will be charged a fee from the mailing service and will deduct that fee from your refund.

What is your return policy?

Here's how it works:
Contact our customer service team by calling 1-800-479-1596, Monday- Friday, 9am – 5pm ET. We will provide you with a RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization number), and we will also provide you the return address to ship the product back to us. We really make it simple and as easy as possible.
Return the empty and unused portion of your product, the original invoice that came with your product (if you don't have that please indicate the date you purchased your product so we can attempt to look it up) and your RMA number. We must receive the return within 30 days from the date you originally purchased the item, for the refund to be valid.
It is your responsibility to pay the return postage and we recommend you send it to us with tracking or delivery confirmation to expedite the process and avoid delays. Note: We must receive the bag(s) within 30 days from the date you originally purchased the item, for the refund to be valid.
The charges (excluding shipping and handling fees) are fully refundable. We really want you to be satisfied, but we must adhere to these guidelines in order to be fair and consistent.

Last but not least, empty product containers can only be returned if adequate time has passed that would allow you to consume the product as directed. It usually takes a week to process your package, and another 7 business days (excluding holidays and weekends) for a bank (debit card) or credit card company to refund to your card or bank account(debit card).

If you received a wrong product due to our error, please return the product unopened in the same package in which you received it and include a copy of the invoice. If you receive a product that is defective, out of date, or is in any way damaged from something other than shipment, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt. Please return the product in the same package in which you received it and include a copy of the invoice. We will ship you the correct product at no additional shipping expense or refund your money.
Your Error:
If you ordered a product by mistake or are unhappy with the item, you may return for a full refund, less any shipping charges or other fees associated with the order. Shipping will be done at your expense. You will receive credit which you may spend at our store for your item upon receipt.

Unused items (unopened and unwashed) and items returned for verifiable manufacturing defects may be returned within 30 days of delivery, for 100% refund on the cost of the returned items. Shipping fees for any other returns are not refundable. There is a 15% restocking fee for opened, washed, and/or used items that are not defective.
