Bye, Bye Whiskey And Rye
Whiskey lovers get in line! This cocktail delivers deliciously!
Many claim Irish whiskey to be the most smooth variety, but the smoothness of the dark roast here combined with this rye whiskey selection can be described as the epitome of smooth!!
And, if you’re a fan of heavy cream, this super simple mixture including demerara syrup is an incredibly tasty topping to this already amazing drink!
Ingredients
-
4 ounces freshly brewed Lifeboost Dark Roast
-
¼ ounce demerara syrup
-
¾ ounce amaro
-
¾ ounce 1776 rye whiskey
-
Optional topping: whipped heavy cream (½ cup) with demerara syrup (2 teaspoons)
Instructions
-
Add demerara syrup, amaro, rye whiskey, and hot coffee to a glass. Stir to combine.
-
For added flare and flavor, you can top your cocktail with a few spoonfuls of lightly whipped, sweetened heavy cream. To do so, simply add 2 teaspoons of demerara syrup and ½ cup of chilled heavy cream to a mixing bowl and whisk until lightly whipped. (You don’t want it to form peaks. Mix it together enough to combine the two ingredients and become slightly fluffy.) Add 2-3 small spoonfuls to top your cocktail, and enjoy!
