The boxes are taped up now. His apartment is nearly empty. His flight leaves in the morning.
In less than twenty-four hours he’ll be in Hawaii.
He spent his youngest years there, his family moving to Colorado when he was only 4 years old. He’s seen pictures, but his memories of living on the big island are few.
As he steps off the plane, ready for his leap into adulthood...a new job, a new house...the first of firsts back in Hawaii takes him to a nearby coffee cart.
“Good morning, sir, what’ll you have?”
“What do you recommend?”
“Ah, a local favorite, you must try the toasted coconut. A medium roast, very light. On ice, it’s the most refreshing thing you’ll taste,” insists the barista, “it represents the big island perfectly...you can taste the tropics with each sip.”
Aaron grins, “well then, I must try it.”
“Enjoy,” replies the barista, “the coffee and your new home, sir.”
As the weeks pass and Aaron settles into island living, a few things have become staples in his routine:
He enjoys the slower paced life here, which has allowed for much time spent hiking in the forested areas, taking in everything the island has to offer each morning, first thing after waking.
Then post-hike, like clockwork, he pours a cup of refreshing, delicious, toasted coconut coffee, a taste of the tropics as he now calls it, remembering the barista’s eerily accurate description.
Cup in hand, he walks down the path behind his house, leading straight to the beach.
He sits in the sand, greeted by the gentle waves and the now risen sun glowing above, and quietly enjoys each moment as he slowly sips the light, tropical, coconutty java. “Mmmm, it really does represent the big island perfectly,” he thinks.
His time here each morning is spent in gratitude, a practice that has enriched his journey immensely.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to experience the life, here on the island, that my parents and grandparents knew for so many years.”
“I’m grateful for a job that challenges me.”
“I’m grateful for the green-blue ocean waters, now meeting my feet.”
“I’m grateful for my health and the ability to enjoy much of the island through being active.”
“I’m grateful for the new friends I’ve met, and the young lady I’ve had a chance to speak with now a few times.”
“I’m grateful for the tastes and flavors here on the island, like this delicious, light, creamy, and nutty coconut coffee, light and refreshing to match life here in the tropics.”
Dusting the sand from his shorts as he stands. He follows the path back to his house where he then gets ready for the rest of the day.
Then, the next morning his routine continues, enjoying the big island with a hike, followed by refreshing toasted coconut coffee in the sand, watching the waves come in and recounting the blessings of his day...his life...here on the island.

Our growers lovingly nurture small, sustainable coffee farms high in the shady slopes of Mt. Kilambe in the heart of Nicaragua to bring you what many call “the finest coffee in the world.”
The high altitude, coupled with ideal year-round temperatures and natural growing practices, produces beans with a remarkable clarity of taste to make your mornings complete.
It's the kind of place where quality is a way of life. Our growers take enormous pride in the coffee beans they produce… inspecting and harvesting each small batch at the very peak of ripeness.
And because of ideal growing conditions, there’s no need for toxic fertilizers, pesticides, or other chemicals. Our beans are even washed by hand in natural spring water to ensure that you get the most delicious, aromatic cup of coffee possible – every single time.
Sit back and relax as you watch the trees rustle outside your window… and enjoy the bold flavor and earthy, eye-opening aroma of our Medium Roast low acid coffee. We think you’ll love how it makes your cares melt away, even if only for a few magical minutes of your day.
We never blend our beans with other beans. We don’t believe in cross contamination with inferior quality beans which is why we only offer single origin. (Almost all flavored coffees are blends and aren’t single origin)
And we’re committed to the success and livelihood of our farmers... That’s why we insist on paying our farmers a wage that’s even better than Fair Trade coffee wages – because we want our farmers to live enjoyable, happy lives too.
When you purchase your bags of our Low Acid, Single Origin Toasted Coconut Coffee, you’re helping to make sure that Nicaraguan coffee farmers have the resources they need to provide for their families and themselves…
The tools necessary to practice sustainable organic farming methods…
And you’re helping us sponsor Rainforest Trust which is a non profit that uses 100% of their proceeds towards conservation of the rainforest and it’s wildlife!
Now that’s something to feel good about!
“Lifeboost Coffee is my favorite! It’s extremely low acid and easy on the stomach. It gets my 5 star recommendation.”
“Lifeboost Coffee is one of the healthiest, smoothest coffee's I've ever had. The ultra low acidity makes it perfect for those with stomach issues and digestive problems. Couple that with the rich, full bodied flavor and it's a treat I look forward to every day.”
“Wow. Having studied health and anti-aging for years as well as owning several anti-aging medical clinics, I'm well aware of the health research behind a good cup of coffee. After tasting Lifeboost, I was WOW'ed by the difference. Most organic coffees don't taste that good! They seem bland in comparison. The ultra low acidity is definitely a PLUS as well. Keep up the good work!”
“Best tasting organic low acid coffee ever! And it’s great on your teeth!”
